The International Conference on Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering (ICMRE) is set to take place in the vibrant city of Lille, France. Established as a premier global academic platform, ICMRE has been fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange in the fields of mechatronics and robotics engineering since its inception in 2015. Originally launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the conference has since been hosted in various prestigious locations across Europe, including Nice (2016), Paris (2017 and 2018), and Valenciennes (France), as well as international cities like Rome (2019) and Barcelona (2020). Due to the global pandemic, the conference shifted to an online format from 2021 to 2023, in partnership with the Southern University of Science and Technology, China. This year, ICMRE returns to an in-person format, sponsored by Polytech Lille-CRIStAL and the University of Lille, France.
ICMRE 2024 promises to be a landmark edition, bringing together a diverse array of researchers, engineers, academics, and industry professionals to discuss emerging trends, innovations, and challenges in mechatronics and robotics engineering. With a rich program of keynote speeches, interactive workshops, paper presentations, and poster sessions, the conference will serve as a vibrant hub for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration. The key areas of focus will include autonomous systems, the role of artificial intelligence in robotics, control systems, sensors and actuators, human-robot interaction, and intelligent automation. These topics are at the forefront of modern engineering, with practical applications that span industries from manufacturing and healthcare to aerospace and transportation.
One of the unique aspects of ICMRE is its emphasis on interdisciplinary cooperation, providing a platform for professionals from different fields to engage in productive discussions. By facilitating networking opportunities and encouraging cross-collaboration, the conference seeks to spark innovative solutions that can address the complex challenges facing the field of robotics and automation. It is a space where ideas converge, and new directions for research and development are charted.
Held in Lille, a city known for its dynamic atmosphere and rich cultural heritage, ICMRE participants will not only benefit from cutting-edge knowledge and expertise but will also have the chance to immerse themselves in the local culture. Lille's blend of historic architecture, modern innovation, and vibrant arts scene makes it an ideal location for this exciting international gathering.
As we look to the future, ICMRE remains committed to pushing the boundaries of mechatronics and robotics engineering, exploring the latest advancements, and identifying innovative solutions for a better and more connected world. This year’s edition will undoubtedly continue to inspire and shape the future of these transformative technologies, creating lasting connections and collaborations that will help define the next generation of engineering solutions.
