Modern pattern welded Damascus steel, 256 layers of hard higher carbon steels are welded to many layers of soft lower carbon steels. The pattern is designed, the blade is forged-welded, twisted, drilled, flattened, grounded, and forge-welded some more. The stack of steel is formed into a billet, and these billets or bars are then used to make a knife. The knife is profiled, ground, heat treated and finished with additional processes like etching and bluing to reveal the striking pattern. Blade is tempered & edge is fully sharpened. This superb design knife is hand forged. Blade of this knife is made of 512 layers of stainless steel and high carbon steel with hardness 55-60 HRC. This process takes approximately 48 hours to complete. This robust knife is lab tested under intense conditions, the balance and shape of this knife ensures perfect grip. All our knives are handmade similar to the photo, differences as such as color and patterns of the natural materials used will differ somewhat because these are all natural materials.
